australia and beyond 2008 part two

in april we celebrated deva’s birthday by climbing the sacred mountain of wollumbin.
it’s a 9km hike up and back, but well worth every step.
the views are breathtakingly beautiful.

we began at 6 am around sunrise

the forest was magical... deva wanted a birthday surprise, but didn’t expect to be awoken at 3 am to get it!!

Image6

every step brought more beauty...

Image7

the path to the summit was a vertical climb...

but we made it...

in a few days we’ll be arriving back in europe, but right now we are in chennai, india, to play for the opening of the oneness temple here.
they are expecting around one million people during their festival!
the vision of amma bhagavan is a celebration of the oneness of all cultures and religions...where harmony, peace and understanding are embraced and celebrated.

see you down the road.

australia and beyond 2008 part one

hi friends – our prayers and songs go out to our brothers and sisters in tibet in these troubled times – and to the chinese people too, that together we will find a peaceful solution to such a seemingly unjust conflict.

since our last post we facilitated the ecstatic chant retreat at lake ainsworth in byron bay

...which, as in previous years was an intimate gathering of love, light and laughter.
here’s a picture from our ‘open’ afternoon when a few friends joined us.
playing piano is rob stevenson who is leading satsang groups in brisbane. check his myspace site for details:http://www.myspace.com/stevensonrob>, yeshe on percussion who makes some great music and playing ney and harmonium is avishai from the israeli world music ensemble, sheva. we had quite a party.

after the retreat we flew to fiji to play for the inauguration of the ‘oneness temple’ in anthony robbins’ awesome savusavu resort.
we didn’t have such a bad time there either.

Image

we met up with donny and jackie epstein
...and took some great sessions from the maestro.
donny created the network chiropractic system, among other things...here he is working his magic on me.

it wasn’t all play – as you can see we put in some hard graft in the music dept...

..which led to some serious recovery time on the beach.
