oneness temple inauguration part four

eventually it all came together. thanks to the great team of guido and pipi, sound wizards...and we got down to the task in hand...

Image19

by the time the people came it was all perfect

Image20

dasa rajeshji welcomed everyone...

Image21

and thomas got the celebration underway...

Image22

later the next day we read online news reports that some people had lost their lives in a crush at the temple.
such a tragedy to what was to be a beautiful day for everyone was hard to grasp.
our prayers go out to the victims as they go on their way.
i hope they found solace as they left their body’s in a temple of oneness.
we’ll be singing for them.

oneness temple inauguration part three

we knew there were going to be big crowds, but this blew all our fuses...there were literally thousands of people all over the road...
like is said, the official figure was 500,000 – myself, i would say that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but what do i know...

Image13

...nobody was in a hurry to go anywhere...and everyone was on the phone!

Image1

coaches were overflowing with pilgrims...for some, this was the most auspicious day of their life...to receive the oneness blessing from their guruji, in person.

Image14

needless to say, chaos was not hard to find – this is an overturned rickshaw...

Image15

by the time we arrived at the back stage area we were exhausted!
it was 40 degrees in the shade...
..and then deva’s computer/keyboard set-up overheated and crashed...
that’s guido, our sound engineer giving deeksha to our lap top!
it must have worked, because soon we were on our way...

Image16

deva floated through the crisis – as she does...!

Image17

while someone else stood in the afternoon sun checking the sound..!

oneness temple inauguration part two

the day started sweetly.

....leaving the ashram for sound check...

Image6

thomas di leva (in the robe), who many of you from sweden know as your country’s favourite rock star, was also set to play.

Image7

ganesha was on the dashboard, so we were expecting a cool drive...

Image8

through the beautiful ashram....

Image9

..and out into mother india...

Image10

through hills and villages..

Image11

until we came upon the distant, and awesome view of the temple

oneness temple inauguration part one

hi friends – well, the oneness temple inauguration in india was something else.
so many people showed up on the first day – 500,000 was the number quoted – that the temple had to be closed and the festival canceled.
deva and i never made it to the temple, we spent most days in the calm of the peaceful ashram nearby.

Image

...hanging out with old friends...

Image1

...meditating...playing...singing...

Image2

...and walking in the fields...where we met the real and ancient india

Image3

we did get to play a concert though, which was pretty amazing!
a full on spiritual woodstock!

Image

below is enzo’s band with nahuel in the foreground.
they were just great – latino reggae-mantra-praisegod-feelgood music
full on celebration in the spirit of the old days with osho, when we danced and sang our joy of life.
i hope these guys make a cd.
we’ll let you know as soon as it comes out.
nahuel is a latino grammy award winner and a devotee of ammabhagavan.
google his band sin banderas

Image4

as for us – well, it was beautiful to play for so many blissed-out people.
not that it is so unusual!!
here we all are in full flight during ‘so much magnificence!’

Image5

this pic was taken by our good friend khalid.
it just makes me so happy to be back on the road again and playing to you all.
nothing nourishes me more than playing and sharing the spirit of oneness through music with awakened friends.
osho created it for us, and bhagavan gave it a name!
