Delilah is a gentle eight year old cream point girl. Her previous owners got a new puppy which made Delilah very unhappy and withdrawn so they decided to get her re-homed. Delilah is a friendly cat who is looking for a new home without children, another cat or a dog.
Honey is a very friendly brindle tortoiseshell cat who is four years old. She is looking for a new home as she would prefer to be an ‘only cat’. Honey is a pretty and quite busy girl who could live with older children, but not another cat or a dog.
Millie is a long haired tabby girl who is six years old. She was unwanted by her previous owner and as a result has been made to live outside for some time. Millie’s fur is currently in a terrible matted condition and as a result it will necessitate her being sedated at the vet so it can be sorted out. This is being arranged as a matter of priority as Millie must be so uncomfortable with her fur in its present state, which will have taken months to become this bad. Despite all of this Millie is a very friendly affectionate cat who rolls on her back wanting to be stroked. She is looking for a caring new home in which she will enjoy life. Millie could live with older children, but not another cat and probably not a dog.
Update: Millie has now had all of her fur shaved off – it was the only way to deal with all of her tightly matted fur. She immediately and obviously felt much better afterwards. She is now keeping herself warm under a heater at the shelter whilst waiting for a new home and her fur will soon grow back.
Lola is a seven year old girl who is looking for a very kind understanding home. She was re-homed from Katz Castle two years ago - as an ‘only cat’ as she is not keen on other cats. She had been unwanted by her previous owner and we also believe she had been mistreated by children.
Recently she was brought back to the shelter unannounced and we were told that if we didn’t take her immediately she was being taken to a vet to be put to sleep. Apparently she was not getting on with another cat, who had obviously been obtained after Lola had been adopted - against our advice. From Lola’s condition when she arrived back at the shelter, we think she has possibly been living outside. She was also extremely distressed and upset, so we do not know what has been happening to her.
Lola will now allow herself to be briefly stroked and you can see she wants affection, but she then has a panic and hits out. She will need a new owner she can learn to trust and who has the patience to allow her to be herself and give her the time to return to being the happy friendly cat she was. Lola needs a new loving home without children, another cat or a dog.
Update: Lola is becoming much happier and more relaxed. She also now enjoys being stroked.
Mims is a small brindle tortie girl who is 12 years old. She was adopted from Katz Castle seven years ago but unfortunately her owner has now died so Mims is back at the shelter looking for another new home. Mims is a very friendly cat who would like a home without another cat or a dog; but she could live with teenage children.
